Two (or more ) commits appertain to a single pull request will be squashed to a single commit at commit time by our commit script. I think it's fine to have this pull request resolve both issue with a single commit. I can massage the commit message at commit time to include the messages from both commit, or you could update the pull request description with both message, I am ok with either way.
