Well I might look into it if you know that the API in libpurple stil exists to do it. If it doesn't then it's simply a moot point.

Are you going to write the code to change it if it needs to be changed? If not, then it's a user question, and needs to go to feedback or the forums. If so, it needs to be filed as a ticket system. This mailing list isn't for this type of subject unless you are planning to take action about it, last I checked.
