Why do we need this ?
As we don't need to change it at start as we are not/are using localtime at
start

-1 for this... reason simple: we want rather a registered pointer of the
depending function (w/o milliseconds), then using a preprocessor macro.
See the comments in the devel mailing list thread for a simple hint on how
to do... I'll try to provide it, if my time slots allow.
