speaking of which ....

i have had lots of trouble running vmware (1.0 & 2.03)
on a stock mandrake6.0 (plus updates as of a week ago).
my machine is a dual pentium 2.

does anyone have a good experience with smp, mandrake
and vmware or am i resigned to having to recompile
the kernel? (i rather not).
