I don't know what the trigger is, but GNOME Software doesn't ask you
to do updates more than once a week. If you do 'dnf update' daily,
yeah it'll find something to update most of the time.

Once a week is still pretty frequent, but Software doesn't insist that
you install the updates once they're available and downloaded. It does
it on the next reboot which you can do whenever you'd reboot anyway.
