Considering an environment that I support would require this to be disabled 
(always show the prompt, while it's up), I would generally be against this 
change if it is not implemented as an option. Additionally, as this is being 
implement counter to the default behavior for the last decade, I would suggest 
that it be disabled by default, with an option for users to enable it if they 
would like.
