I understand that Exchange has a reliance upon Active Directory. I do use Samba 4.0.6 and love it, but I am curious (can't seem to find the answers on the internet) about whether the Active Directory implementation HAS to be Samba, or whether is can be Windows Server, or even a mix of the two.
For instance... A domain that only has Windows AD DCs A mixed Samba DC and Windows DC domain? Does Openchange support this? What if the schema master role isn't on the DC the Openchange is installed on, will the Schema update still work? Thanks!
