Hi Harald, Libopkg will only allow one process works for metadata synchronize issues. Packagekitd will be launched automatically by installer, and terminated after 5 mins without any requests. (Generally speaking 5 mins after terminate Installer) If you want to use opkg and packagekitd is still running. You can just killall packagekitd if you are sure it is not installing/upgrading/removing/refreshing.
There is an easy command-line tools using packagekit: pkcon. You can use that talk with packagekitd through DBus. Of course, you can also use dbus-send. :) Cheers, Tick On Fri, Aug 08, 2008 at 04:59:09PM +0200, Harald Koenig wrote: > Hi, > > using the new Om 2008.8 image, /usr/sbin/packagekitd is running and blocks > the use of opkg on command line: > > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# opkg install vte > Collected errors: > * Could not obtain administrative lock > > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# fuser /usr/lib/opkg/lock > 2805 > > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# ps up 2805 > USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND > root 2805 5.4 12.7 35248 15752 ?
