Category: core Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Stanislaw Pitucha (viraptor) Assigned to: Bogdan-Andrei Iancu (bogdan_iancu) Summary: no support for random selection of SRV records Initial Comment: Openser doesn't seem to support random selection of SRV records as described in RFC 2782. Standard procedure involves client selecting one of records on given priority level randomly using rng and running sum of SRV record weights. Currently openser always chooses the record with greatest weight. Johansson (oej) Date: 2008-07-04 15:04 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=7341 Originator: NO I've been looking at Ares that is part of the CURL library as well as resiprocate. The resiprocate developers has strongly recommended that library for use with Asterisk. Regardless, asynch dns is a good way to go, but a separate issue from the issue here which can more easily be solved by a few lines of code from Bogdan :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bogdan-Andrei Iancu (bogdan_iancu) Date: 2008-05-08 15:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1275325 Originator: NO Hi Axel, I will take a look at the lib - it seams that also provide async capabilities. Regards, Bogdan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: axlh (axlh) Date: 2008-05-08 08:39 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1212856 Originator: NO Maybe OpenSER can use libruli: http://www.nongnu.org/ruli/ and drop its own resolver. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=743020&aid=1959944&group_id=139143 _______________________________________________ Devel mailing list Devel@lists.openser.org http://lists.openser.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devel
