Sorry for the delay of this reponse. I expected a eplugin developer
would have answered before I do.

I'll fix that this week-end, thus making addressbook and calendar
backend optional at build time so we ensure the main plugin still
compiles whenever modules do.

If these backends have to be enabled by default, I'll anyway make sure
they can be disabled. This should prevent the whole plugin from inherent
subsystem build failures.
