No.  Not even 2D.  IMO, it is a ridiculous position for Matrox to take,
but I'm sure they have their reasons.  Just like I have my reasons to
stick with G-series.

Not until they provide documentation, or someone does an end-run around
them by reversing.  Given the popularity of their hardware compared to
NVidia hardware, and the fact that nobody has done any significant
reversing for NVidia hardware yet, I would not hold my breath.  The most
likely thing that will happen without documentation is that someone will
put together framebuffer console support for it.
