Hi Everyone, About a year ago I sent a mail to this list asking if anyone would be interested in helping mySociety to sell petitions to councils. Two people got in touch, and they did a terrific job, helping us successfully supply online petitions to over 30 councils.
We're now trying to do something similar for FixMyStreet - several councils have spontaneously approached us about it in the last year, which has led to things like FixMyStreet running natively in Barnet and Southampton. We now want to see if there's wider interest, especially when it comes to connecting direct into back-end fault databases. Dave McKee is an emailer and telephoner extraordinaire - polite, enthusiastic, and fully understanding that the 'hard sell' isn't exactly part of mySociety's image. We're now looking for someone similar to help him, and to help us, obviously.
