It's been pointed out that I have an abnormal set of options, as I'm
one of the list-admins, and was seeing the options of a list-admin,
not an ordinary punter

Having zapped my cookie, that's behaviour I can replicate; i.e.,
Mailman behaves as I would have expected it to.
