Hi John, I originally sent a reply to the list right after receiving your mail, but with an unsubscribed From: address, so it was discarded without notification and I only realised that rather later. Sorry about that. Matthew replied more concisely in the mean time, so I've edited out most of my reply, except this part:

There's the "global" label in the GitHub issues list for MapIt: https://github.com/mysociety/mapit/issues Please do go ahead and create issues for anything you think we ought to fix, particularly for the kind of browsing and API issues you mentioned. As far as issues with missing boundaries go, MapIt should have every relation or and way tagged with boundary=administrative and admin_level from 2 to 11, so long as they form only closed polygons at the time of import. If something has been fixed since the import (which we can check quickly), that'll be find after the next import. If it's still unclosed or broken in some way in OSM, then it's best to try to fix it there. > Yours, feeling rather more crotchety than usual for going to > the problems instead of recognising what a massive PITA this > must have been to actually construct (Bravo!), :) Best regards, Mark _______________________________________________ developers-public mailing list [email protected] https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public Unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/options/developers-public/archive%40mail-archive.com
