WriteToThem is not one of the projects that has been refactored and documented for redeloyment, unlike Alaveteli and FixMyStreet, which is why you won't find much about the install process. The good news is that our friends at Ciudadano Inteligente in Chile are building a Poplus Component called WriteIt, explicitly to fill the gap for a modern, customisable, redeployable tool in the tradition of WriteToThem and FaxYourMP. I think they'll be delighted to have an early customer with your track record. The mailing list for this is the Poplus list, and you should post your request for help there: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/poplus In future, when we work with people who want 'WriteToThem' style functionality on international sites we're involved with, we'll be using WriteIt, not WriteToThem to deliver it. The goal of Poplus is to be an international community of different civic hacking groups that build interoperable components that make it quicker and less expensive to build new sites that are about citizens exerting power.
