Jumping on to what Neil posted previously about Dean quotes, I was just on the phone again with the NY State campaign office. They're going to want to start running drupal starting next week if possible.
Great news. I'm here to help by phone, email, whatever.
They also had the idea of a "Dean Position" tool; something that would let site admins easily syndicate position statement from the campaign. The obvious first source will be the national campaign, but local issues (or, "what this means for us") will quickly rise in prominence.
Any thoughts on this? Seems eminently do-able to me.

A position statement can be as simple as a Story in Drupal. All position statements should be tagged with a taxonomy term called 'position statement'. Then you get an RSS feed for this taxonomy term for free. No custom code required ... This is quite analogous to the 'defense statement' described before.
