One problem I am seeing here is that the 'documentation' provided by interchanging emails is going to get lost petty quickly. While it is easy to assume everyone will intuitively understand your every move, some may not. I suggest you post the documentation that will be placed in the taglib documentation (in the tld and later in docbook). Please be as complete as possible.
