This code doesn't have much to do with a specific MMBase version. Of course I can create a bug report and put the code in mmbase 1.6. in order to be able to use the code in 1.6. But what I would like to do is create a separate module for rmmci. How to people feel about this? is the distro probject working on something like this (modules) or do we need to start a project for this?
The distro project has been thinking about creating seperate modules, but the distro project is not very active atm.
I'd like to start creating seperate modules with their own build.xml. I'm working it this for the documentation.
Things we must think about are:
What kind of modules will be created? --> core --> rmmci --> taglib --> documentation --> ???
Will these be completly seperate modules, or will these be in the mmbas/src dir?
What will be in the main build.xml and will be in the specific build.xml's?
We must start by creating seperate build.xml and a next step could be to start adding dependencies between the modules, eg rmmci-2.1.6 needs core-1.8.1, etc.
What's the status of 1.7. last time i checked it just did'nt work?
Don't know, it's been a while since I checked it.....
