If I understand correctly, you want to create an Oracle database supportCorrect
class based on existing code from the PostgreSQL support classes. In order
to reuse the code, it propose to factor out the code to separate classes.
The main goal of me, is to store the data in a database layout, which doesnt work with duplicates. And, if so, what will happen to the Oracle support class (both new and existing)?
The old oracle implementation is still there(and will be to support backwards compatibility).
First i want to add it to CVS and offer it the functionality. Would it proof to be a good alternative, the choise can be made to make it default.
The same procedure has been followed for the PostgreSQL71 and PostgreSQL72 implentations.
Furthermore, i dont think that storing information only once has a (large) influence on the performance.
