I think testing and time from the release manager are the two most import issues.
Ok that would mean that we need to stop "developing" in mmbase 1.7 and finish implementing the new features.

storage I: storage made it's first apreance in mmbase 1.6.3 ? we are not yet happy with it and are rewrinting the stuff do we want to wait for storage II?
my feeling is that we first need to relase 1.6.4 and decide very soon what needs to be in 1.7 and then try to decide when 1.7 will be relased.
Yes, that's completely true. I'm about to sent an email about the 1.6.4 release and next week I'd like to begin to examine which parts of 1.7 need to be finished before we can start the 1.7 release cycle.
