A solution should be to jump to a new frame setting which will contain both frames of the contentarea.
You're welcome to change that. I guess Mozilla uses a different frame structure and replaces the correct framesets.

This is actually correct: the info I request (authtype and searchage) was, at the time, only accessible through the mmbase module (a SCAN module). Similarly, you need the MMLanguage module as this is used to internationalize prompts.
In 1.7, authtype can be retrieved from the mmbaseroot module using getProperty. Not sure on retrieving searchage, I think michiel has found a way to retrieve it(???). But that would mean the editors would only work in 1.7, which was not the goal at the time.
