In moving SCAN I intended to change the TransactionManagerInterface (included in the vote for moving scanpage).This is because I currently can't move the interface, as the xmlimporter application implements it.
However, it seems that the application itself does not actually use the interface - it merely exists as a means to be called by SCAN.
My question is whether this dependency needs to continue to exist - that is, is it necessary for xmlimporter to be called by SCAN?
If not, instead of changing the interface, I can move the interface to the SCAN application and remove the dependency in xmlimporter.
Since this will likely only affect the VPRO, I would like an answer from Rico and if possible Rob van Maris (to confirm that the application itself does indeed not use the 'scan' method).
If I can't get an answer for today I will go as originally intended and change the interface instead.
