Next Tuesday (oct 12), at 16:00 hours, we will hold a meeting to set up a performance improvement traject for MMBase.
This traject is part of the Optimization project.
The goal of the meeting is to make a plan to:
- set up tools to locate performance issues - analyze performance problems - find solutions to known problems - other issues related to performance as they become apparent
I won't be able to attend this meeting, but I'm interested in the project.
One of the things that would be nice to have is a tool with wich you can generate data in MMBase. That way you could easily set up an test environment with lots of data (objects), because some of the performance problems will only occure with +1.000.000 objects.
