Even if there would be no serious chance that a 'hack' would not make it (e.g. who would be against the removal of a bunch of specific unused-by-everone builders), I think the posting about it is more than a formality, because it also serves to inform. The discussion can also really change it. E.g. the 'resourceloader' which I may propose one day, is really influenced by remarks from people (that may be one of the reasons why it can get confusing for an outsider). I may even look into the Cache to see if some sort of factory may be useful after all (after I have overcome the emotion, and found some arguments for it myself). You also keep criticizing the function framework, and though I think that not all of your critics are good, it does influence me, and when I will propose changes on it, it will undoubtly not be excactly as you like it best, but still your remarks will have had influence. > For example I posted about the PageContext stuff long before the vote > was passed . I think you argumented that it was confusing, which is subjective. The current argument is that some JSP's don't compile, which is a clear fact :-) Perhaps that means that it is confusing even for a java-compiler, and that you are right after all. > problem what so ever, i am even very very happy (but don't ask me > what I think of it if you only want positive feedback). I value you critics very much, which does not take away that I'm not very happy if you (or someone else) do that... E.g. this proposal about Cache, was inspired by remarks from you, you have actually convinced me that it would be good that Cache wraps a Map rather then extend one.
