Subject: Re: [fonosfera] Interfaces eth0.1/3 and eth0/2

I'm not entirely sure which two interfaces you mean here, but on a
2.0n with the official firmware, you have:

eth0 This is the network device that connects to the Fonera's internal
switch, so this receives both WAN and LAN ethernet packets, with
        vlan tagging.
eth0.1 This is the network device that receives the (untagged) LAN
ethernet packets. Do not use this one directly, since it is part
        of the br-lan bridge.
eth0.2 This is the network device that receives the (untagged) WAN
ethernet packets. You can use this device as normal.
ra0 This is the private "MyPlace" wifi network. Do not use this one
directly, since it is part of the br-lan bridge.
ra1 This is the public "FON_FREE_INTERNET" wifi network. This one
normally managed and configured by chillispot.
apcli0 This is the wifi client network, used when in wifi or
        wifi-bridge mode.
br-lan This is a bridge that connects the private wifi network and LAN
ethernet ports together as a single layer 2 network. This is
where the LAN IP address is configured and this is the interface
to use as the "LAN" interface normally.

Does this answer your question?
