Dear all,

I recently came across the nice-looking (seems some Bootstrap template;-)
project site of Apache ACE. Its team page
http://ace.apache.org/get-involved/project-team.html
points to a general list of Apache Roles:
http://www.apache.org/foundation/how-it-works.html#roles

Is it right to assume, members of the "Developer" group do not need to sign
the CLA, but may contribute what that page calls "Documentation"?

If contributing Device Signatures for the DeviceMap project were consdered
more "documentation" than actual "code", would this be a proper role for
such contributions?

Not having to sign more than e.g. an online agreement of some form when
they register (similar to JIRA, we'd have to look into that) as DeviceMap
"developers" to contribute device signatures would lower the barrier for
people compared to a more tedious paperwork of becoming a full committer.

WDYT?
