You might wanna take a look at WebCal.
It has Palmpilot-syncing (didn't try this, as i don't have such a device ..)
I used a earlier version that is still in production-use.

O, WebCal is Perl-based, uses templates (which i think can be templated
again :) ), can use MySQL.
