Since both Charlie & Gordon will be a bit busy today, and since I
have this hatred of telnet, I'll wade into this one...

First, *are* you able to telnet into your e-smith server? If telnet
will not let you connect, you should be safe.

Interestingly, I confirmed that this *does* occur on a new installation
of 4.1. I went into Remote Access on my newly installed server and
the settings were:

  Telnet: No access
  Admin: no

I changed it to:

  Telnet: Private
  Admin: yes

After that was successfully saved, I changed it back to 'No access'
and 'no'... after the save, it came back as 'No access' and 'yes'.
I tried again to change it to 'no' and it did not change.

HOWEVER... I was unable to telnet into the server:

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

and I verified that nothing was listening on port 23... so telnet
*is* disabled through the "No Access" part of the e-smith manager.
It appears that the "admin access" part of the web panel is not
getting updated appropriately. I've cc'd this to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
for the developers to look at.

Regards,
Dan
