I find that the best and easiest 802.11b wireless stuff to install are the
USB units. For these you don't even have to crack the pc box to put in the
nasty PCI (don't work on PCI1) or ISA cards.  Haven't tried yet on Linux.
But for windoze, they are the easiest, and have the best antenna system, can
probably expect 6db over the pcmcia adapters.

SMC has trial stuff here in the States..  check their outlet in your
country.

Number of users doesn't affect "strength", but can affect throughput if you
run 50 or so..

There are a large number of 2.4 ghz hi-gain antennas for about $100 or so,
the hard part is that you have to use low-loss coax to feed them..
