A stock install does not include the php-manual RPM.

The RedHat packagers of PHP have have marked php-manual-4.0.4pl1 as
depending on php-4.0.4pl1, so you can't upgrade php without also upgrading
php-manual, or without removing it first. The dependency is bogus -
there's no reason you should need to have a particular version of php
installed in order to have its manual installed.

Bottom line, if you have custom installed the php-manual RPM, remove it
before attempting to apply the php updates, or use the --nodeps flag (with
care) when upgrading php.
