Orville and Chris, Are you seeing this on just Outlook/Outlook Express also? That would be a good clue, as this sure smells like some Outlook issues seen in the past. As Darrell suggested try it on webmail (or some other, non-MS client). It might be interesting to see if it is just Outlook (vs. express) as these are very different clients, though they do share some code from way-back.
It is pretty strange 2 sites are seeing it at exactly the saame timeframe, that cetainly suggests some timestamp oriented bug (though the current timestamp of 1019584747 seems pretty innocuous, not being a rollover or anything like that). What you folks might want to do is grab some tcpdumps to sniff out what is happening at the protocol level. Feel free to shoot me copies (jrp2 at jrp2 dot net, don't send to the list as they will have passwords in them) if you are not comfortable with IMAP, or just want a second pair of eyeballs on it. I am not sure if this is the right list to be discussing this. My guess is it is going to be Outlook/OE specific, and the dupes are not actually in the mail database, or anything related to SME. If possible, it would be good if you could dupe this problem on a fake account (something you "lock" after duping so that the dumps can be sent around a bit without compromising live accounts and passwords).
