Just to clear the air on this issue. The duplicate email only occurs on mail FORWARDED from external accounts - such as my speakeasy.net email account. My ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) account is set to forward all email to my SME email server ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) .
However, mail sent directly to my SME email server ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) is NOT duplicated. It appears to be a problem from my ISP - NOT the SME boxes. I will continue to monitor. (Please pardon the intrusion!) Orville Carter - NYC (Using SME (E-smith server) since its humble beginnings...so no complaints..or else..;-) HA! ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Powell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Orville Carter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2002 2:59 PM Subject: Re: [e-smith-devinfo] Duplicate emails on server? > There goes my Outlook bug theory ;) I also just perused some of the Outlook > newsgroups with no mention of any outbreak of duplicate message problems. > > Might be interesting to compare your two configs (how you get mail into the > system, etc.) as well as any interesting messages in /var/log to look for > clues. > > I know I am seeing no problems here (using fetchmail to get mail from > outside POP3 accouts). > > JP > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Orville Carter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "John Powell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2002 1:35 PM > Subject: Re: [e-smith-devinfo] Duplicate emails on server? > > > > John, > > > > The duplication is seen in IMP Webmail also!
