I have a couple of questions while we are on the subject of Custom ISOs.

Is there any good information on how the pathc/diff files work? I have
never gotten my patch files to work.

Also, I have not been able to find information explaining the comps file.
Can you dictate the order that packages are installed to satisfy
dependencies with this file? If so, how?

The directory needs to be read/execute for all, but the files only need
to be readable. In any case, mkisofs will do the right thing when given
the magic options, which are: "-r -T -J -pad"
