Just wanted to check in and ask around to see if anybody is actually
doing anything with the watchme network. The data doesn't seem to be
getting collected, the scripts on hawk fail every once in a while and
we go days without actually collecting any data.

The watchme network doesn't seem to have much traffic on it - there
hasn't exactly been a proliferation of freesites, frost traffic, FMB
traffic, or anything that would signify that the network is getting
used for anything at all.

I was originally pretty gung-ho about the watchme network, but given
its size, and particularly the fact that we're not collecting data and
even when data IS being collected, it doesn't seem to be being
analyzed in any meaningful way, I'm really starting to wonder what the
purpose of the watchme network is.

I'm not complaining, I'm just asking - the database was put together,
we have nifty front end, data collection, and graphing scripts, but
what has come out of the watchme network? What can we say we know
about freenet or the way the network works that we only know because
of the watchme network? What purpose is it currently serving? I'm
running a watchme node and a regular node, and I'm asking these
questions because I'm wondering if it wouldn't make more sense for me
to just switch my watchme node back over to the main network, which
seems to be working quite nicely. (Or at least much better than it
was when I left the main network for the watchme network a few months
back)
