Could we send the "please wait" page with a refresh header and then close the connection, allowing Firefox to reuse the connection for another tab until the refresh timer expired? In other words multiplex more than n tabs over n connections by taking advantage of the fact that each tab spends a fraction of its time actually transferring data?
