I've begun a fresh Swing client app, but my week has been sucked away by work and the stress has been high enough that when I finally get home, all I can manage to do is play Dreamcast. :/
I think within a week or so I can have something that's semi-working and I won't be ashamed of. Anyhoo I'd like to hear from other people who are working on client GUI or thinking about it, to avoid duplication of effort if nothing else. As I mentioned earlier, one thing I've partially implemented is an XML app for flexibly specifying file-handling behavior: farming out incoming data to external apps, native actions, or arbitrary Java classes or bean properties, based on MIME type and/or key-matching RE and/or metadata (that part is a bit fuzzy still). Not exactly rocket science, though you'd think so by looking at the sorry state of the equivalent functionality in Netscape or IE or Winblows. _______________________________________________ Freenet-dev mailing list Freenet-dev at lists.sourceforge.net http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/freenet-dev
