Since Freenet only downloads and doesn't run any files (except those
viewed by the proxy, but that's got a filter now), there is no way that
freenet can spread a virus like outlook.  It would be up to the person
downloading the file to check it.

As far as not knowing where files come from, that's part of the point of
freenet, but also certain uploaders will become known by their SSK (If
only they were readable!).  If you want some software, you could go to
the person who uploads under a certain public key, and you'd know it was
quality.  Or something like that.  But then again, if you're downloading
warez you deserve to get a virus.
