Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my proposal. I was hoping that some of
its benefits would be self-evident. Apparently not, so I'll try to
explain things a little better:

Consider the current in-freenet keyindex mechanism. The simplest way to
use it is to adopt a simple identifier. I could adopt the identifier
"index" as my own, accepting submissions under "index-SID", where SID is
