As many of you probably know, I am writing a Freenet client application for Windows. I plan to release an installer that contacts the node via FCP, downloads the "installation instruction" file, grabs the necessary files, and does the normal installer-related stuff. Does anyone have any thoughts regarding this? Feedback at this stage is very welcome -- on any level (anything from "make sure you use CHKs in your install file" to "make it look cool")
Another point of note is that the installer, which includes the whole Win2k "wizard" look & feel, some FCP communication, and multithreading stuff, is currently under 20 KB.
