Make sure there's plenty of informative feedback during the retrieval process. I'm assuming that this installer is targetted at the "common man," and the common man is going to want to know why it's taking five minutes for all of the Freenet requests to come back. Try to distract him with moving objects and bright colors, and assure him that he doesn't need to sit and stare at the screen during the entire process (unless the pretty things are _really_ good). What happens if the installer fails to download one or more chunks of the program? You'll need to placate the user with an explanation of Freenet's potential unreliability. An excellent application, I love this idea. -- Bryan Derksen (bderksen at gpu.srv.ualberta.ca) http://www.ualberta.ca/~bderksen/ Si hoc legere scis nimium eruditionis habes _______________________________________________ Devl mailing list Devl at freenetproject.org http://lists.freenetproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devl
