Deleting the datastore shouldn't keep the load down, in fact it should
increase the amount of work your node has to do because it won't have
cached copies of as many keys.  Other nodes will route to yours no
matter what you have in your store; it's your request history (the
requests you've been able to retrieve for them) that they use for
routing decisions.

As for CPU speed, that shouldn't matter for becoming an ubernode, but
I would like to know how much of a load (CPU-wise) fred is on your
computer.  It's regularly saturating my Celeron 375.
