So how do you guess if the next bit is a header or a trailing
field. Better if you put it all into one message. Can you come up with
any examples of where this would be needed. You could use EndPart not
End if there's another header comming I guess

Depends how fast your port number changes. Since I'm starting and
stoping stuff my port/proxy port/lserv port changes a lot and rtv
helps a lot.=20

rtv =3D Run Time Value=20

What do you mean a trailing field? That doesn't really apply to
file metadata, does it?
And you can always compare strings to "End" or look at whether you've
reached the end of file yet. Or use "EndPart", whatever.
I'm not sure why this might be needed yet, but the point is to plan
for the unexpected. Here's one example of where this might be nice:
Metadata
See-Also=SSK at asdf/blah
Author=joe_bloe
Revision=1.2
Date=2001.02.04
Mapfile
default=index.html
Mappings
index.html=CHK at foo
logo.png=CHK at bar
End
(maybe using internal "End" or "Endpart")

Why not just run the setup program in the nodialog mode if there is no
config file when starting?

'DeCSS would be fine. Where is it?'
'Here,' Montag touched his head.

That's exactly what we're talking about doing.

Sure it does:
Redirect
End
freenet:CHK at xxxxx
the bit after the End is the trailing feild

Hmm, I guess. But:
ManifestThing
See-Also=3DSSK at xxxx/yyyy
Author=3Dxxx
Revision=3Dyyy
Date=3Dzzzz
Default-File=3Dindex.html
End
index.html=3DCHK at xxxx
pic1.png=3DCHK at xxxx
and so on. I just think that a single message can handle everything we
need. But either way, *we need a standard for 0.4*

Okay. But wouldn't it make more sense to have:
Redirect
Target=CHK at xxxx
End
Anyway, to support trailing data I suppose we should use End only after
the final section. I don't think we need the EndPart though, since the
parser knows it's a new section if the line doesn't contain '=' and is
not == 'End'.

This gets ugly and creates problems for interoperation of different clients.
If you separate it into cleanly divided sections with headers, clients
can ignore the sections they don't use/understand.

:) standards arguments are *so* much fun.
