Reply-To: devl at freenetproject.org
I don't know if anyone here has been playing with Serapis lately, but I
have added most of the 0.4 features, including forward references and
Announcement to Serapis. I haven't tested it all that much, but it does
seem to work.
The syntax for the new event to put in scripts is:
AnnounceNode <alice> <bob> <htl> <client for requests> <number of requests>
<htl on requests>
the Client can be any client number, but the node will need to use a
client to actually request the data. You'll have to be careful not to set
<htl> higher than the number of nodes, since that will cause it to fail.
Also, be careful if you have used AddReference a lot earlier in the
script, since the initial keys returned to Alice to fill her store with
may be the faked ones from the AddReference events.

'Ah,' Granger smiled and nodded.

I believe they all use the same algarithim. See also Javadocs for
java.util.zip and java.util.jar.

A JAR file is nothing more than a ZIP file whose first entry is a =
specially
named manifest file that contains attributes and digital signatures
for the ZIP file entries that follow it.

This page describes PutFiles and has links to source and .jar's.

Is anyone out there using these tools? I haven't gotten any bug reports,
which is usually a bad sign.
InsertMp3s could be a no brainer way to get a lot of mp3s into Freenet
without requiring much effort on the part of the inserters.

Wow. That page and the tarball actually DOWNLOADED! Maybe there's
something to this Freenet thing after all...

That is some massive code. I think I'm impressed. :)

Hi!
Sorry if I'm wrong again but in the current freenet-0.3.7.tgz
there is an entry informUrl= http://www.octayne.com/inform.php
okay this I thought is the new one which detects if my node stopped.
But why then we still execute freenet_server_stop with
http://freenet.sourceforge.net/inform0.3.php
Okay for 0.4 it no longer a topic but for my rpm I could kill
the freenet_server_stop script if it is of no use.

errr. I must confess that I sort of cheat, in that I have a program that I
run that requests all of my pages and downloadable files from 10 - 20
different random nodes taken from http://www.octayne.com/inform.php every day.
I also always insert stuff with an htl of 30. Don't know how much difference
that makes.
The .tgz is probably much stickier in the network because it doesn't get a
new date based redirect every day. This issue will (mostly) go away when I
switch to a MSK, since there's only on dbr per day.

You shouldn't. That scrip t is completely unnecessary.
