Cool! As I've always said it pays to be pessimistic. :)

Don't worry, that's what high bridges are for. :)

Yah. In my early days I once thought that getting no bug reports for
my ESM program (esm.sourceforge.net) was a good thing. Then I found
out I had a bug where if the config file had a trailing newline it
would crash. :)

I once tried to do the same thing with a shell script and found that
%70 of my MP3's had inaccurate, corrupted or non-existant ID3
headers... Oh well, better then nothing.
Anyway often the source of the wrong ID3 headers is due to a
trunctuated MP3. (they are placed at the end) Idealy people would be
inserting direct rips from CD's onto Freenet.

I keep on having my datastore slowly eliminate references to other
nodes untill it has references to only one other node,
208.170.83.3:3199 Anyone else noticed this? I suspect this node might
be really big, lots of bandwidth etc. or has been hacked to always
reset the dataSource to itself. In the latter case are then any
mechanisms to prevent that attack?
My diskCache is set to 1.5 gigs and my dataStoreSize to 50k items BTW.

How many refs do you have to it? Also, if it's a big node, it will set the
datasource to itself because it can store all the files.
If you want more, grab inform.php a few times, take out the copies, and set
it as the nodes.config

It shouldn't, a node should rarely set the datasource to itself at
random (it is an anonymity precaution), but it should have nothing to do
with how big it is.
Ian.
