Those are simply the two possiblities that I could think of as to where the
metadata could be stored. There are reasons for and against both.
The impression that I had recieved was that the metadata was stored
unencrypted
due to the fact that there are quite a few mentions of using spiders on
freenet
as a possible indexing/searching mechanism. This implies that there is
unencrypted
data to spider.
