Well, I guess you will have to adapt.

We can automatically detect whether pop-up ads are supported pretty 
easily.  All we have to do is embed a pop-up add on the fproxy page 
which opens up a small window, which requests a HTML page with 
Javascript which closes the Window.  If that HTML page isn't requested, 
we know that Javascript isn't supported.

Clearly, this can be deactivated in Freenet's preferences if the user 
prefers.
