Cool. Yeah, re node anonymity, the only thing to do is steg, and not only is that intractable, it's post-1.0, and nobody wants to code it. > > PS The size of the routing table and the fact that they are dynamic > makes your scenario pretty unlikely. Ummm, maybe. What if you're inserting a site full of splitfiles? At some future point freenet will become usable for pirating big files. You insert 10 movies, that could be a lot of individual files. The largest current freesite AFAIK is Eternal Dilbert, which used to insert up to 30 files a day (presumably to avoid inserting hundreds of files the first day). This shouldn't be a problem though, unless the node's routing table is totally screwed. So if your node isn't working efficiently you are less anonymous. That figures. > > PPS HTL 5 is too little. Yeah, I've been discovering this. It's still the default insertion HTL. Logarithmic scalability is not the same thing as infinite scalability :) maxHopsToLive is still 15 too, at least as of last week - isn't that too little? > > > -- > > Oskar Sandberg > oskar at freenetproject.org > > _______________________________________________ > Devl mailing list > Devl at freenetproject.org > http://lists.freenetproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devl
