Ok, yeah those are good points... Old unpopular keys would take much longer to update. As for continuously sucking up bandwidth, why not just use the local version when it's available, even if it's old, and have a schedule that regularly searchs (say once a week or something) for newer versions. I haven't been on freenet long enough to figure out how that would work. And yes, I knew you couldn't update CHKs. I still think it's worth trying out. It would greatly enhance the usefullness of freenet.
