+1 for Crufty. Updated daily, good propagation. It also contains
another page with many links, should TFE go under (I hope not!).
My proposal:
Example freesites
* The Freedom Engine -- links to many more freesites, probably your
best starting point
* Cruft -- a daily updated freelog
* Fishtools -- software to make Freenet interaction easier

I don't think there's much point. We can easily update the frontpage
in new releases, which is what new users will get. Seasoned users on
the other hand, will rely more on their bookmarks than on the
frontpage.
