* Support automatic IP address detection in config utility Before I look at this, could anyone tell me the official status of the following (as NodeConfig is seriously unmaintained and barely maintainable it's a little behind the times):
. Does the "24/7" vs. "Transient" setting still make sense? Is it still relevant? The caption is "Nodes running 24/7 are good for Freenet" but that has nothing to do with transitivity does it? . Would "FNP Port" make more sense on the same tab as Node IP Address? (If a user has a need to change FNP port he already knows about ports and so IP addresses are unlikely to scare him) . Do we still need to put "127.0.0.1,localhost" into allowedHosts? Isn't it implied that Fred almost-certainly needs them there? I have a feeling NodeConfig will add them there if they weren't already there. . Should distribution servlet be turnoffable? Because it seems NodeConfig always writes out services=mainport, distribution irrespective of what services= before NodeConfig was run... . Are there any more servlets other than mainport and distribution? (I know there may be in the future, so I'm changing NodeConfig anyway to respect services= rather than squash it) If there's any more obvious stupidities in NodeConfig I'll be sure to let the list know as and when I come up against them (other than the obvious...) d _______________________________________________ devl mailing list devl at freenetproject.org http://hawk.freenetproject.org:8080/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devl
